About 40km from Mang Den town, Vi Ro Ngheo village belongs to Dak Tang commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province. The village still preserves the architectural features of a Xo Dang village. Along with that, the values of traditional culture and beautiful natural scenery have also created a highlight for eco-tourism villages.

Surrounding Vi Ro Ngheo village are vast forests of rich flora and fauna, small streams, waterfalls, lakes, fields… Standing on the top of Ngoc Ruong mountain, the village is like a watercolor painting with overlapping mountain ranges. Gentle streams flowing day and night to water the green rice fields. Ngoc Ruong mountain also owns a “treasure trove of wild flowers” such as rhododendrons, sim flowers, mua flowers, cymbidium orchids… blooming throughout the four seasons.

In particular, this place is considered a “paradise” of cymbidium flowers with native orchid hills and flowers grown by locals throughout the village, creating a beautiful poetic scene.

Vi Ro Ngheo village carries the cultural values and long-standing traditional customs of the Xo Dang ethnic group. The houses here preserve diverse historical and cultural values closely associated with the daily life of the Xo Dang community.

One of the unique features is the way the gate and fence around the house are arranged. All households here build gates from forest trees. The wooden gate is simple and not elaborate but very beautiful and eye-catching. The uneven, curved, and straight wooden bars are creatively stacked by the local people to form a gate to the house. Around the houses, people also take advantage of dead trees in the forest, sawing them into short pieces and arranging them around the house, creating a unique beauty for the village.

Currently, Vi Ro Ngheo Community Tourism Village is increasingly attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. Most tourists choose the form of homestay to enjoy the fresh air, learn about local culture, as well as experience life in the great Central Highlands.
